Living Simply: Linen and Coat Closets Reveal

To be honest I wasn't sure I would get the chance to simplify the linen and coat closets by today. But, in the end Sweetpea and I mustered up a bit of energy and got them decluttered.

I threw away a bunch of bath and body care products that we'll never use and brought the old towels downstairs to be made into rags. I'm still debating whether or not I should keep the bed skirt that we never use. I probably shouldn't. However, I'll admit that the two large red towels (that we've never used) are still at the top of the closet. Why am I still hanging on to them? Maybe I'm hoping for a particularly romantic Valentine's Day somewhere in the future.

I came to the conclusion that you can definitely have too many cloth bags. I kept some practical ones for grocery shopping and some prettier ones for the farmers' market, picnics, and library. I don't know how I've managed to accumulate so many cloth bags. It's astounding really because I never buy them.
