The Simple Woman's Daybook

Outside My Window... things have been smoky because of the forest fires. We're finally getting some rain so the air is smelly much fresher....and the grass is getting longer (ahem! Hubby...)

I am thinking... that I should start making a list of things that my family members need so that I don't forget when Christmas comes around.

I am thankful for... my Maman who went out of her way to pick up a few things for my uncomfortable Monkey.

From the kitchen... my canner has made it's first appearance of the year: homemade salsa and saskatoons in syrup.

I am wearing... a colourful long t-shit and navy yoga capris.

I am creating... lists and plans with my SIL for my parents-in-law's upcoming 40th wedding anniversary celebration.

I am going... to the farmer's market tomorrow to pick up 100lbs of organic heirloom tomatoes.

I am reading... Real Food: What to Eat and Why.

I am hoping... that canning 100lbs of tomatoes isn't going to result in injury or death.

I am hearing... silence and it's wonderful!

Around the house... I managed to wash half of the floors (the stickier ones).

One of my favorite things... visiting with family.

A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week: canning and cleaning out the freezers.

  2. Oh dear. I think you may want to revisit your comment about the shirt you are wearing...although it is totally possible, with two small children underfoot....hehehehehe....I'm sorry!
I can't stop chuckling! That is something I would write!
