If you live in Western Canada check out one of these websites to help you find a local farmers' markets:
Another great way to get local produce is to go to a U-Pick farm. I get so happy when I find a good U-Pick that my Hubby just laughs at me. We went to one this weekend and picked a couple pails full of big and juicy saskatoons for $1.00/lb. What a find!
There are quite a few websites online that direct you to local U-Picks. Here are some websites that might help:
Pickyourown.org (Canada, US and other countries)
Farm Fresh (BC)
Alberta Farm Fresh (Alberta)
Happy Picking!
What are saskatoons??? Have I been missing out on something???
