Nah! Why bother with the theater and TV when you have a huge computer screen and speedy internet?
Yep, we watch shows and movies on the computer - legally of course! We usually borrow movies from the library, they have new releases and they're free, and we watch shows on youtube and Asian movies or dramas at Silent Regrets.In the last few weeks we've watched Seven Brides for Seven Brothers (library), the latest episodes of Hell's Kitchen Season 7 (youtube), the Korean movie Gourmet (Silent Regrets) and a few episodes of Japanese drama Boys Over Flowers [Hana Yori Dango] (Silent Regrets).

ReplyDeleteWelcome to Catholic Mothers Onine! As you, we find most anything on the internet to watch. And movies? Goodness! I wouldn't want to pay full paying price for one these days. I will take the children to one about once a year...if it is good enough.
We have our TV screen hooked up to a computer so we can watch things via netflix and hulu. We watch our movies in twenty minute installments (about twenty minutes a night-- after baby is down and before HH and I crash).
ReplyDeleteRight now we are watching Batman Returns, because I've never seen it before, and before that we saw The King and I. I loved that musical as a kid, and it really cracked me up to re-watch it and see how un-PC it is.
That's so funny you watch asian shows-- how do they compare to American shows?
My husband and I watch Anime when we have time. Miyazaki films are always fantastic (and available at the library). We have been addicted to the Naruto TV series also.
