As much as our family enjoyed the visit up North I am happy to be home again. Today we had a slow day; we didn't hurry for anything. The children rediscovered their toys and I curled up in a well loved blanket on my favourite rocking chair. There was time for daydreaming, thinking and planning and that's what I did most of the day.
My eldest son's birthday is in three weeks. He has requested a knitted frog for his fifth birthday. I haven't cast on the project but I have the yarn and patten sitting near by. I am also nearing completion of a Griffin vest for my eldest and I have a baby Owlet on needles for Teddy.
When the cool weather keeps me indoors I tend to knit and read more. Right now I am flipping through a large pile of books about gardening and urban homesteading. I might not have a large plot of land to call my own but I intend to make good use of what I do have. Right now I am dreaming of berries, grapes, bees, and maybe a few chickens.
Oh our dreams are so similar...
