A Winter Weekly Menu

After the rush of festivities that come with the Christmas holidays and New Year celebrations, January can seem a little slow, quiet and chilly. Winter is the time for hearty meals and quiet evenings knitting and reading. It's also a good time to take stock of the pantry and note what needs to be replenished and what needs to be consumed.

Sunday
lunchSalmon patties sourdough sandwiches. 
dinnerSweet potato soup.

Monday
lunch: Leftover sweet potato soup.
dinner: Tart-hot beef curry (660 Curries), steamed rice and oven roasted cauliflower.

Tuesday
lunch: Vegetable fried rice (using leftover rice).
dinner: Vegetarian lasagna.

Wednesday
lunch: Leftover lasagna.
dinner: Potato pancakes served with sour cream and apple sauce.

Thursday
lunch: Leftover potato pancakes.
dinner: Lamb shank and neck with white bean puree.

Friday
to do: soak pinto beans for refried beans
lunch: Hard boiled eggs, raw fruit and veggies, and cheese.
dinner: French lentil soup.

Saturday
lunch: Grilled cheese sourdough sandwiches and leftover soup.
dinner: Chipotle bean tostadas.
