The cardigan is complete. The finished project is a little different than what I had imagined but I like it quite a lot. I knit a size small-medium using Ella Rae classic superwash, you can check out the details on my Ravelry page. It's a cozy cardigan and I'd love to keep it for myself, but it's being given to my mother for Christmas.
Finishing this big knitting project has been motivating. Now I can start working on the other handmade Christmas gifts I had on my list for this year. The tricky part is deciding which projects to start next.
I also finished reading Legendary Learning. A great read if you have home learners or are interested in home learning. There are a few other books that I'm slowly reading, Real Food, The Beekeeper's Handbook, and Mrs. Sharp's Tradditions, along with some new (to us) favourite picture books: The Sun Egg (and others by Elsa Beskow), Elephant and Piggie books and The Mountain that Loved the Bird.
Joining Ginny's Yarn Along.
that sweater is stunning. such amazing work you did.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on finishing the cardigan! Yeah! She will love it, I'm sure.
ReplyDeleteI will have to look up the first book you recommended. Looks interesting. Also "Elephant and Piggie" books are favourites here. My daughter even made costumes and acted one of them out. So fun!
Beautiful sweater!

ReplyDeleteOk, my mouth just totally dropped open when I saw your sweater. I am in love! Beautiful job!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful work!!! I have gained a totally new appreciation for sweaters/cardigans since knitting one for myself a while back..they are a lot of work (and I got bored of knitting the same thing forever!) but it's all worth it in the end! Will need to have a see a picture of your mother wearing it!
