Staredown with the deer. I wasn't sure they were going to let me by. |
I started running regularly again but I've hesitated to write about "The Challenge" on this blog because it seems so ridiculous and unachievable at this point. I have registered, along with my sister and her husband, to be part of a relay team for The Penticton Challenge. My portion of the relay is the 43km run, the marathon.
Low quality picture from my phone. It was raining and getting dark on my run tonight. |
I'm beginning to understand that training for the marathon will be a journey with highs and lows. One high is that I get to listen to Mumford & Sons' new Babel album uninterrupted several times a week - yay! At this point I am unsure if I will be able to complete the journey... which explains my hesitation... but I'll give it my best.
ps. Lisa over on The Little House the Grew just completed her first marathon. So inspiring! Congrats Lisa!
Good for you!!!! So exciting to have a challenge to face. You are right you will be faced with many ups and downs on the journey but it will be so worth it.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your training.
Thanks Kim :)
