Yarn Along (no. 23): Mother's Day Ravelry Round Up

Mother's Day is approaching quickly. I had planned to knit a bunch of dishcloths as gifts but I'm thinking a bunch might only be a few. I've been flipping through some baking books and knitting books and have been really enjoying Country Weekend Socks: 25 Classic Patterns to Knit and Chewy Gooey Crispy Crunchy Melt-in-Your-Mouth Cookies by Alice Medrich.

I'm also trying to decided what kind of hat I'll be knitting for Ginny's Knit For Japan. Will you be knitting for Japan?

And here is a Ravelry Roundup of some nice last minute knitted gifts for mother's day:

  2. Yes! I'll be knitting for Japan, too. I needed a small, do while waiting kind of project and now I have one.

  3. Thanks for the round up of knits. I need to get better at planning for gifts ahead of time...maybe I should try stock piling knitted gifts that can be easily given when I forget to get a head start.

That book is making me wonder if I have the ingredients laying around for some cookies!

I'm definitely in agreement with your motherhood reflections post. I've been through all those emotions and phases myself. I'm working hard to re-discover the joy currently after going through a low period recently.
