It's Cold Outside!

It's on days like today that I wish we lived a little further South. The view outside my window is deceiving, clear skies and sunny. But if I step outdoors and take a breath of fresh air, my snot will freeze immediately.

I know that I need to go out eventually. The heated rabbit water bottles are frozen and need to be defrosted. The car needs to be started so that we can go out and run some errands. But it's -32C (-25.6F) outside and that's really cold! Spring is far away and all I can say is hrrumph!

  1. I can't even begin to imagine -26F!!!!!!!!! I grew up in the southern US and Hawaii so I find western PA winters to be frigid! Not sure how cold it's gotten here but I know we haven't gone below 0!!!!!!

  2. I grew up in the US midwest, and, with wind chill, we'd sometimes dip down that low. Now I'm in the mid-atlantic region and people seriously complain when it's a degree below freezing. Always makes me laugh. Not that I miss those bitterly cold days. At all. They are fun to experience a few times (my husband didn't believe it could get that cold until we got caught in a blizzard on the prairie together)-- but, wow. When can you expect to start seeing it warm up?

  3. I got to visit with my sister this past weekend and she said that the snow is actually up to the roofs in some areas in PG - your picture doesn't really do justice to how much snow you have! Wow, and I've been complaining about the cold in Kamloops. I don't have much to complain about! Hopefully you continue to find fun activities to do indoors (and maybe outdoors?) You could always come visit :)
