There are several ways to access the park. We accessed the park by driving to the end of Steward Road East. This park entrance has a nice parking area, outhouse and interpretive signs. It also has an easy interpretive loop trail perfect for younger children. I should mention that we briefly visited this park with friends last summer but our walk lasted about ten minutes. The trails are exposed making it uncomfortably hot for a summer hike with young children. Hiking through the park at this time of year (the early spring) is absolutely lovely. Just be aware to check for wood ticks when you've returned home.

ReplyDeleteTics were definitely there at this season. We found one the next day in a coat.
Ticks! Yes, we found one in Claire's hair. Sneaky little bugs!
