In the end we still went out are got our pumpkins but instead of carving them I took my daughter to get her finger x-rayed. Thankfully there was no apparent fracture (yay!) just a badly mashed finger. It seems that no matter how much I try to keep my children safe and healthy accidents and illness just happen when you have three very curious and energetic children. I suppose I should just make peace with this fact and take it in stride. Wish me strength, I think I'm going to need it for the next decade.

The Pumpkin Patch
In the end we still went out are got our pumpkins but instead of carving them I took my daughter to get her finger x-rayed. Thankfully there was no apparent fracture (yay!) just a badly mashed finger. It seems that no matter how much I try to keep my children safe and healthy accidents and illness just happen when you have three very curious and energetic children. I love the sorts of things children say, it's so maddening! Last winter J and E were outside and J was having a hard time walking in the snow. She fell down and I instructed E to go help her. E in turn started to cry and said, " I don't know how". Um, what?! I didn't have boots and ended up having to rescue in bare feet. I hope C's fingers are better soon
ReplyDeleteOh boy... it just seems some days that things are against us having a good time! I think of the "we are going to enjoy ourselves if it kills us" comedy comments. Hope her wee fingers heal quickly.
