Searching for Shampoo
We've officially run out of Shampoo. I don't know if I'm brave enough to try baking soda and apple cider vinegar quite yet. So, now I begin the search for a non-toxic Shampoo that actually works. I perused our local health food store this morning to see what they carry. They have Jason, Green Beaver, and Prairies Naturals as well as a few others that I didn't look at. Anybody try any of these brands before? Any recommendations for what works and what doesn't?
Don't use Green Beaver. That's what I'm currently stuck with. I don't hate it but I definitely don't love it. Good luck!!
ReplyDeleteI think Lush has a shampoo bar, so no plastic bottle and they make it all themselves. Not sure what is in there, but their stuff is usually pretty good for ya. My mom used it and liked it...?
ReplyDeleteI've been using Saje shampoo and conditioner. It's 100% natural and made in Delta, BC (saje.ca). I got it as a gift, and was absolutely thrilled, but I'm now running out, and when attempting to replace this shampoo, I was shocked to find that it costs a whopping $16.95!!! I'm still trying to work this additional $34.00 into our budget and convince my husband that its a worthy expenditure.

ReplyDeleteI like Avalon Organics. You can get it at Ave Maria, London Drugs, and Save-On. The Lavender is my favorite!
